Ascension’s Community Groups are THE BEST WAY of getting connected that Ascension clergy and staff can commend to you. They offer a place to find friends who will ‘do life’ with you. Ascension’s 28 Community Groups meet on different days at different locations throughout the City of Pittsburgh. While each group is committed to sharing life together, they all have their own character and particular emphases.
The vision for Community Groups at Ascension comes from the description of the early church’s practice in Acts 2:42-7. The church devoted itself to four core practices: devotion to the apostles’ teaching, fellowship, sharing meals, and prayer.
