He grew up in Dover, PA, studied music composition at West Chester University, and moved to Pittsburgh for a campus ministry internship at Carnegie Mellon University.
As the son of a music minister, Chris doesn’t remember a time when he wasn’t involved in church music. He has been part of music teams in various ways — as a worship leader, pianist, drummer and percussionist — and is passionate about finding ways that music and the arts can be used to challenge, encourage, and edify the Church.
Chris is an active composer, arranger, percussionist, and educator. He has worked with many of the area’s finest musicians and performing ensembles, including Voces Solis, Pittsburgh Philharmonic, and the Chamber Orchestra of Pittsburgh. In addition to music, Chris loves running, reading, theology, good conversations, thought-provoking movies, black coffee, and spending time with his wife and their son, Caleb.
