Elise Massa serves as Assistant Director of Music and Worship Arts, vocal leader, and liaison for artistic initiatives and partnerships.
Elise witnessed Jesus’ redemptive power through the arts following her conversion in 1999. Her winding road to worship arts ministry includes training in theater and voice, earning a B.A. in Speech and Hearing Sciences (Indiana University-Bloomington), and studying abroad in music and worship with Youth With a Mission (YWAM).
Elise is passionate about empowering God’s people to worship with their own voice and story. With Stacey Regan, she cofounded the Ascension Songwriters Collaborative. She also serves as Northeast Regional Leader for the global non-profit United Adoration. Her artistic heroes include St. Teresa of Ávila, Mahalia Jackson, Monet, Makoto Fujimura, John Donne, and Maya Angelou. She lives with her husband, Chris, and their bundle of lightning son, Caleb.
