In this unprecedented public health emergency, we are doing everything within our power as a church to love our neighbor as ourselves and to ‘flatten the curve’ of the pandemic by practicing social distancing. The danger as we take these necessary measures is that social distancing would turn into isolation, and that we would no longer be able to fellowship or to care for one another as the body of Christ. We have asked community groups to continue to meet in virtual form, through Google Hangouts, Zoom, or some other online tool, and we are committed to continuing to pray for one another and offer assistance as we are able. To hear more, please listen to the following YouTube message from Ascension’s Rector, Jonathan Millard:
Are you or your kids experiencing anxiety?
Ascension clergy as well as counselors from our Workshop Counseling Ministry, Jim and Mari Stout, have made several YouTube videos to help navigate through these troubling times, especially as anxiety mounts. The link to the 5-video YouTube Playlist is available HERE or be clicking the picture below.
Will you fill in an online form?
We are using an online form to help us establish a HUB at Ascension to understand what needs exist within our congregation and beyond, and then to deploy the vast resources of our congregation to meet those needs as we can. Our hope is that every member of the Ascension family completes the form available HERE. If your situation changes, you can submit the form again.
Additional ways to contact Clergy & Staff
Clergy and staff can be contacted directly at any time. Please use the staff directory available HERE. To contact the church, you can also use the link to our CONTACT PAGE. Clergy and staff are anxious to know (1) if you have a confidential prayer request, (2) if you have a physical need you would like help with due to illness or quarantine, or (3) if you have practical help that you want to offer to others.
