    From the East:

    (Philadelphia, Harrisburg via the PA Turnpike)

    From the Pennsylvania Turnpike, take Exit 6 (Pittsburgh/Monroeville Exit) to I-376 West (“The Parkway”).

    From I-376, take Exit 7A (Oakland/Bates Street Exit).

    At the first traffic signal on Bates Street, turn left onto the Boulevard of the Allies.

    At the first traffic signal, turn right onto Halket Street.

    At the first traffic signal, turn right onto Forbes Avenue which is one-way.

    Continue on Forbes for about 8 blocks, moving over to second from the left lane by the 8th block.

    At South Bellefield turn left onto this one-way street and stay in the rightmost lane.

    Continue one block; make right on Fifth Avenue.

    Continue 3 blocks and turn left onto N. Neville St.

    The church will be on the right side at the intersection of Neville and Ellsworth.

    From Points West:

    (Pittsburgh International Airport)

    Take I-279 North towards Pittsburgh through the Fort Pitt Tunnel (preferably rightmost lane)

    follow signs to I-376 East (Monroeville).

    Take Exit 5 (Forbes/Oakland Exit) onto Forbes Avenue (a one way street).

    Continue on Forbes for about 11 blocks, moving over to second from the left lane by the 8th block.

    At South Bellefield turn left onto this one-way street and stay in the rightmost lane.

    At the first traffic signal, turn right onto Fifth Avenue.

    Continue 3 blocks and turn left onto N. Neville St.

    The church is on the right side at the intersection of Neville and Ellsworth

    .

    From the South using Route 51:

    (Brentwood, Pleasant Hills, Uniontown)

    Take Route 51 to the Liberty Tunnels.

    Turn right and proceed through the tunnel (in the left lane) and across the Liberty Bridge (in the right lane).

    Turn right onto the Boulevard of the Allies. Bear left at the fork, staying on the Boulevard of the Allies; take the first right hand loop to Forbes Ave.

    Stay on Forbes until you reach South Bellefield (Heinz Chapel will be on your left)

    Turn left onto this one-way street and stay in the rightmost lane.

    At the first traffic signal, turn right onto Fifth Avenue.

    Continue 3 blocks and turn left onto N. Neville St.

    The church is on the right side at the intersection of Neville and Ellsworth

    From the South using I-79:

    (Washington, PA; West Virginia)

    Take I-79 North to Exit 14, I-279 North.

    Take I-279 North through the Fort Pitt Tunnel (preferably rightmost lane), and follow signs to I-376 East.

    Take Exit 5 (Forbes/Oakland Exit) onto Forbes Avenue (a one way street).

    Continue on Forbes. The Cathedral of Learning is the tallest building in the landscape

    Just as you pass the Cathedral the next street on your left will be South Bellefield.

    Turn left onto this one-way street and stay in the rightmost lane.

    At the first traffic signal, turn right onto Fifth Avenue.

    Continue 3 blocks and turn left onto N. Neville St.

    The church will be on the right side at the intersection of Neville and Ellsworth

    .

    From the North:

    (Erie, Western New York via I-79)

    Take I-79 south to I-279 south, Exit 21, to Pittsburgh.

    Near downtown Pittsburgh, take Exit 14 to I-579; follow signs to Monroeville.

    Take Exit 5 (Forbes/Oakland Exit) onto Forbes Avenue (a one way street).

    Continue on Forbes for about 11 blocks, moving over to second from the left lane by the 8th block.

    At South Bellefield turn left (one-way street) and stay in the rightmost lane.

    At the traffic light make a right onto Fifth Avenue.

    Continue 3 blocks and turn left onto N. Neville St.

    The church is on the right side at the intersection of Neville and Ellsworth

    From Highland Park Bridge:

    Come across the Highland Park Bridge using the left lane and follow signs to Washington Blvd. The ramp curves onto Washington Blvd at the traffic light bear right (it splits here and going to the right would take you to Allegheny Blvd.) At the traffic light for Penn Ave. bear slightly right. Washington Blvd becomes Fifth Ave. Come down Fifth to Neville. Turn right onto Neville and another right at the next street on the right which is Ellsworth Ave. Church of the Ascension sits at the corner of Neville and Ellsworth Ave.
