We have three worship services on Sunday mornings. Brief descriptions follow:
7:30am – Holy Eucharist in the Gordon Chapel
This service is a traditional service of Holy Communion using the Rite 1 liturgy. Our worship will include singing accompanied by the organ as well as a semon. All are welcome, though there is no special provision made for children at this service. Following the service bagels, pastries, coffee and juice are served in the Parish Hall.
9am – Holy Eucharist in the Nave
This service is a service of Holy Communion using the more contemporary liturgy of Rite 2. The musical part of our worship incorporates a combination of contemporary songs led by a worship band as well as traditional hymns. This service has the same sermon as the other three services. All are welcome! The service includes a children’s talk near the beginning after which childen in Pre-K through 5th Grade will be invited to participate in their own children’s program, before returning for Holy Communion. The children’s choir sings at this service from time to time. A nursery is available. WINGS, our special needs ministry, also takes place during this service.
There is a Hospitality Hour in the Parish Hall from 10 – 11am that participants of this service, as well as those arriving for the 11am service, are welcome to attend. Bagels, pastries, coffee and juice are served in the Parish Hall. A program for youth called ‘G15′ takes place in the Old Catacombs from exactly 10:30 – 10:45am. Youth are welcome to get some food from the Parish Hall and join their peers. They are also welcome to linger after G15 concludes.
11am – Holy Eucharist in the Nave
This service is a service of Holy Communion using the more contemporary liturgy of Rite 2. The musical part of our worship incorporates a combination of traditional/classical music led by the choir and organ as well as more contemporary music led by the musicians and singers of “Resounding Grace”. All are welcome! The service includes a children’s talk near the beginning after which children in pre-K through 5th grade are invited to participate in Sunday School, before returning for communion. The children’s choir also sings at this service, usually the last Sunday of the month. A nursery is available. Following the service cookies and coffee are served in the Parish Hall.
