    Welcome!

We are a community of Anglican believers who worship together, seek to grow as disciples of Jesus, and give back to God in gratitude for all He has done. Please join us on a Sunday and find out more!

Our vision statement makes reference to our desire to be a Worshiping Community. We are committed to knowing those we worship with in a deep way. To help us get to know one another better, we offer hospitality events every Sunday morning. Lots of conversation happens in the Parish Hall where we offer hospitality after every service.

    .

We have found our people like to eat a lot. With that in mind, we offer several occasions to come together over a meal. To kick off Lent we typically celebrate Fat Tuesday. The youth serve up pancakes and sausages, provide some special music and games, and funds raised go toward their summer mission trip. During Lent we have a dinner/teaching series over the course of four Wednesday evenings. During this series we share a common meal served family style and also enjoy special topical teaching.

    .

We like to make special days of the church year even more festive. In that spirit,  on Ascension Day in May, when the Bishop visits, we have a cake reception to celebrate those who are baptized or confirmed in their faith. In June we enjoy a picnic and outdoor worship service at Squaw Valley Park. In July we have a Strawberry Festival on the front lawn and enjoy the music of a brass band. To kick off our fall programming we celebrate with a BBQ on the front lawn. Other events happen here and there, and at some point the Missions Committee hosts a festive evening to highlight one of our mission endeavors.

    .

One other event deserves mention since it is a highlight of our life together, particularly for many of our kids. The first weekend of October we have a Parish Retreat at Laurelville Mennonite Church Center in the Laurel Highlands. About 250 of us, singles and families alike, enjoy a weekend together in a beautiful setting. We have a special speaker, offer programming for all ages, enjoy games and activities together, take hikes, roast marshmallows and celebrate with more informal worship. We promise parents very tired children at the end of the weekend!
