Church of the Ascension has a long history of strong biblical preaching. While we sometimes have sermon series, for the most part, the scriptures we hear each Sunday (Old Testament, Psalm, Epistle, and Gospel) follow those set out in the Lectionary produced by the Anglican Church in North America.
We have several priests who preach regularly at Ascension including the Rev. Jonathan Millard (Rector) and the Rev. Kevin Antlitz (Assistant Rector). Periodically we invite guest preachers including our Bishop as well as our Liturgical Assistants (volunteer priests who have other employment outside the church), and the Ascension Curates (those training as full-time clergy).
