He moved to Pittsburgh with his wife Kate and their two boys, Liam (4) and Silas (1). He previously served as Director of Children and Youth Ministries at Cup Evangelical Presbyterian Church in Beaver, PA for three years. During that time Matt also began taking seminary courses at Trinity School for Ministry in Ambridge.
Since his teenage years, Matt has felt a call to serve God in full-time ministry, and is passionate about showing God’s love to children and families and seeing them grow in their relationship with Christ and His Church.
After obtaining a bachelor’s degree in Christian Thought from Grove City College (2009), Matt went on to work in Christian camping at HoneyRock of Wheaton College for 9 months while taking graduate courses in Evangelism: Outdoor Leadership. This was a season of life-changing spiritual growth as he learned deeply what it means to experience and extend God’s grace.
Following this, he continued volunteering in the ministries at his church in the Grove City, PA area for a year. In summer 2011 he married Kate and joined her in the Czech Republic where they served as missionary teachers at the Christian International School of Prague.
