Two ways to give your pledge electronically
Whether you place your offering in the plate each week or pay electronically, faithful stewardship often impacts the condition of the heart much more than the pocketbook.
There are two online options that you can use to give your pledge payments:
The first option is to have your pledge payments automatically withdrawn from your bank account by filling out the form that is listed on the back of the pledge card. Pledge cards are available to the congregation beginning in October of each year. Once authorized, your pledge payments will be sent directly from your bank account to the church. Automatic withdrawal works very similar to setting up automatic bill payments with your electric or cable companies. Contact our bookkeeper, Linda McLane, and she will send you the form to fill out, entitled “Authorization Agreement for Electronic Payments (ACH)”. If you have questions about the form, feel free to ask Linda, or ask your bank to give you information regarding your routing and account number. You will need to sign the authorization form and turn it into the church by dropping it in the offering plate or mailing to the church office.
The second option is setting up your pledge payments through your bank’s online bill pay program. Many banks offer free online bill pay programs, and you may set up one-time and recurring payments to Ascension through this system. The best way to set this up is to speak to a bank representative; they will tell you the most appropriate way to set up your pledge payments. Many services will need a phone number or address for the church:
