Church of the Ascension is committed to transformation and wholeness for individuals, as well as justice for the needy and oppressed. In this spirit we welcome several support and recovery groups into our facility. They are listed below. For contact information for any of these groups, please contact the church office at 412-621-4361 (ext. 219).

Alcoholics Anonymous – We have several groups that meet during the week. On Tuesday evenings, there is a men’s group that begins at 7:30pm in the Old Catacombs. Members typically gather at the kitchen entrance. On Saturdays, there are several large group meetings at 9am and 10:30am in the education wing (New Catacombs and Hunt Rooms). Each group has its own leader. In total, over 300 people attend AA meetings at Church of the Ascension each week.

Gambers Anonymous – GA meets on Thursdays at 6:30pm in the Parish Hall (main floor).
