    Welcome!

We are a community of Anglican believers who worship together, seek to grow as disciples of Jesus, and give back to God in gratitude for all He has done. Please join us on a Sunday and find out more!

Since 2007, Church of the Ascension is very pleased to have participated in the planting of two churches – one in Pittsburgh and another in Fort Collins, Colorado. Our hope is to build vibrant, self-sustaining churches to spread of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

    Jonah’s Call

‘Seeing God transform life as we worship creatively, connect neighbors and reach the city.’

In 2007, Church of the Ascension began a church plant called Jonah’s Call. Jonah’s Call became a church with its own pastor, board and Articles of Incorporation in 2010. It is dedicated to serving the City of Pittsburgh, and continues to meet in our facility at 5:00pm on Sunday evenings. Learn more about Jonah’s Call here.

    St. Thomas Church

St. Thomas Church is a church plant supported by Ascension both financially and through prayer.  In the summer of 2013, the Rev. Josh Miller, longtime Associate Rector of Ascension, departed to plant a church in Ft. Collins, Colorado (the 15th least religious city in America).
We are praying that many who have given up on the church or who have never considered Jesus before will come to love and follow Him. For that to happen, God will need to act in ways that we cannot. You can see what St. Thomas is up to here!
