Our church appreciates and values the place where students are: on campus. We have a handful of faculty and staff that call Church of the Ascension their place of worship. Our Director of Campus Ministries, Jonny Cagwin, also has a big heart for meeting students where they are. Jonny is a member of the Carnegie Mellon Interfaith Counsel (CMIC) and the University of Pittsburgh Association of Chaplaincies (UPAC). He is also the staff advisor to the Panther Habitat for Humanity Chapter at the University of Pittsburgh. Jonny leads a bible study with members of the Cross Country and Track teams at Carnegie Mellon University. He also meets with students in small groups or one-on-one during the week. Our hope and prayer is that students will learn how to share their faith and study their discipline seriously as they seek out what it means to follow Christ in all areas of life.
