Something in the Basement is the weekly teaching environment for 6th through 12th grade students that meets at 9:15am-10:15amin the Catacombs (home of the Student Ministry).  Each week students will have an experience that is EPIC.  EPIC stands for Experiential, Participatory, Image driven, and Community based.  We will have elements of singing, a teaching time, multi-media, discussion groups, and interaction with and artistic flare.*

For 6th through 12th grade

Each hour is broken down into various elements:

Hang Time - Before each hour begins, students and leaders come into the Catacombs and hang out while listening to music, watching videos, playing pool, playing foosball, playing Ping-Pong, hanging out on the sofas, or sitting around catching up on what’s been going on.
Connect Time- The first 20 minutes of Something in the Basement that is a combination of worship and mutli-media that focuses students’ attention on what is we will focus from the Bible that day.
Teaching Time- Teaching Time is not your typical sermon! During this time, the talk with focus on being Biblically based while also is extremely relevant to students.  It is a chance to teach about the importance or integrating life and faith.
Interaction Time – This element is when the teaching becomes real by interacting and doing something that will illustrate the Talk.  This is a more artistic or creative time.

The entire Something In The Basement (SITB) time is for more in-depth Biblical Study and Biblical Life application that will allow students to integrate their faith and life, as well as a time to share and pray with one another.
