Music Ministries at Ascension exist to enable this Christian community to worship God and encompass the entire continuum of worship cultures, from classical anthems through traditional hymnody to “renewal music”. Those who help with the music here do so because they are called by God to serve Him and His people at Ascension by providing them with an avenue by which they may be drawn into his presence. That avenue is worship, and the vision of music ministry is not so much that of engaging musicians, but of raising up and equipping WORSHIP LEADERS. The music ministries at Ascension include the Adult Choir, Children’s Choir, Oakland Girls Choir, Resounding Grace, and Special Instrumental Offerings.

RECENT NEWS

On October 21 the Ascension choir will join about 100 other singers from nine choirs from around Pittsburgh for a fund raising event to support the ministries of The Lighthouse Foundation.  In addition to the Transitional Housing program and Food Bank, The Lighthouse offers used furniture, appliances, and vehicles; computer classes; and emergency
