Summer is hardly over but the Fall semester is coming. How are you going to grow in your faith and learning throughout the 2010-2011 school year? We hope you can join us on the journey of understanding how we can use our learning and pursuits in higher education to the glory of God. Throughout the year, we will study the Bible, connect with others at Ascension, go to the Jubilee Conference,

First Year student? - we hope that Church of the Ascension can be a place of comfort, rest, and community during your time in Pittsburgh. A good first step to connect is to contact Jonny Cagwin - our CCO staff at Ascension!

Returning students - below are important details regarding the start of the semester

Bible study starts September 7 in the Old Catacombs (basement).
Want to connect with other college students? consider joining us for 'first sundays' (dont know what that is - find jonny).
The Parish Retreat is October 6-8. We hope you can join us for a great weekend away at Laurelville.
The Jubilee Conference may be a whole semester away but think about the discounts you'll get if you sign up early and the money you can save if you start now.....

Keep your eyes peeled and emails refreshed for announcements and events like campfires, movies, hiking.

Sunday Services:

- Rite I: Sunday 8:00am

- Rite II: Sunday 10:00am

- Jonah's Call: 5:00pm, dinner following service

How do I get connected: (please click on links for more detail)

- Adoption : get connected with a family in the church

- Bible Study: Tuesday evenings at 7p during the school year.

- Events : we have a couple chances a month to connect with other students

- Service Opportunities: help our local community with each other
